Importance of geology in civil engineering

The successful construction and running of civil engineering project depend upon the fact that how they treat the geology of the site. If they have deal with the geology of the site carefully then structure will be stable, else may fail due to various causes. Some of importance of geology in civil engineering are mentioned below:
